IT Support Officer
The role is to act as technical support & provide desktop, server & networking IT support & maintenance of software & hardware.
Main Duties:
- Provide day to day IT support, diagnosing & solving faults, using appropriate support tools for hardware, software & other IT applications
- Take ownership & manage incidents through to resolution
- Maintain an appropriate incident log to identify & escalate any known errors
- Install, replace, configure, repair, test & maintain, assets, warranty, repair, licence & any other IT controls of all ICT systems & user equipment, Windows, desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile phones, telecoms & printers
- Patch cabling & equipment moves
- Perform system maintenance, backups & logs conducting daily checks to ensure seamless operation, which will occasionally fall outside of normal business hours
- Identify improvements to solutions
- Training staff on IT best practice
- Any other reasonable management request.
Successful Candidate Skills & Experience:
- Take responsibility for business-critical issues
- Experience of working within a technical support role with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent Excel knowledge including macros, Visual Basic, advanced Excel formula & Excel data modelling
- Excellent computer literacy including MS Network, 365, Office, Teams, SharePoint, TruTops & CRM systems
- Related industry qualification
- Self-motivated & focused, with a flexible attitude
- Good attention to detail, with high levels of accuracy & a commitment to quality
- Able to work on & use own initiative & problem solve
- Strong communication, team working & people skills
- Demonstrate a professional & courteous attitude
- Act with integrity & honesty
- Positive attitude to innovation & change
