Established in January 2018, I and N Signs specialise in built-up lettering of varying styles and these can be built in both stainless steel and aluminium. I and N Signs began to secure more projects due to the high-quality work they produce, but as a result of the increased workload, they required a sub-contractor to provide some of the more delicately cut parts.
These parts include the face material, which is required to be in perfect condition.

Our Laser and Bending Supervisor said, “Typically, sign parts come as either Stainless Steel or Aluminium, therefore extra care is required immediately and it is not just the front-facing side you need to protect from damage”.
“We begin by using a lot of oil for added protection against spattering [pieces of material spattering and solidifying on the rear of the workpiece such as from the laser bed for example], this will prevent pull marks or imperfections appearing on the face of the material.”.
“When unloading these parts, we do them one by one before wrapping them individually in foam and taking due care to package them carefully and ready for delivery. In the signage industry, we have found lead times are extremely tight, so neither we nor the customer can afford any mistakes, which could lead to reworking – and in this industry, the smallest scratch can mean the whole project has to be started again”.
